《蘊醞花園 Yun Garden》

這件作品是為國立台灣博物館閉館整修期間所創作，裝置於台博館的大階梯上。

中文字【蘊】，發音為yun，有積聚、包含、事理精奧之處等意義。而中文字【醞】，發音同樣也是yun，原意釀酒，有準備、逐漸變化之義，多用於變化為更美好的事物。

二字分別象徵博物館內藏豐富，有深厚文化，而閉館重新整修，就如同醞釀過程，雖沉潛一段時間，但未來將有更美好之展現。

階梯上草地及溪流之意象，象徵自然，醞藏大地萬物，也隱約提示之後的展覽，將與自然密切相關；抽象之鏡面，反映周遭環境與觀賞者，隨時間而有不同面貌，也隱喻在歷史潮流中，蘊藏了無數的人、事、物，卻又來來去去時時刻刻在變化...

The Chinese character 蘊, pronounced as “yùn”, contains the meaning of accumulation, inclusion and the essence of things. The other Chinese character醞, also pronounced as “yùn”, originally meant brewing and was extended to the meaning of preparation and gradual changes often in positive aspects.
We use the two characters to symbolize the abundance and the deep-rooted culture of the Museum, and the closure for renovation to be compared with the process of brewing a more stunning presentation in the future despite the temporary silence.The meadow and the brook on the stairs signify nature, the deposition of all matters, also implying the future exhibitions to be relevant to nature. The abstract mirror surface reflects the surrounding environment as well as the viewer, both would alter with time, implying the ever-changing people, events and things in the historical trend.
